How it works

My idea is to create a group of 12 friends who have never been to Colombia because they feared for their safety.

Many people will not know each other and will come from different countries. This is one of the unique aspects of the trip.

As soon as the group is formed we will agree on the final agenda. This will include final destinations and dates.

You will have to pay the cost of the trip which will be arranged via a tour operator.

I estimate the trip will cost around US$1,500. This would include domestic travel, transportation, airport-pickup, hotel accommodation, and breakfast. This is for the proposed journey listed below.

The price does not include your plane ticket to Colombia, lunch, dinner, airport tax, and your shopping.

The project will also require that you raise at least US$200 for a Colombian charity. This can be either financed from your own pocket or by organising your own fundraising event. The participants will have the option on voting on one of three charity options: education, displacement (internal refugees), and children. Information on each of these charities will be provided at a later date.

Once the agenda is fanalised a final cost estimate will be provided and project participants will be asked to make an initial deposit soon after.
